Crown Princess Mette-Marit Auctions Off Clothes for Charity

Princess Mette-Marit of Norway is one of the thriftiest royals out there and has admitted she hates to part with items regardless of their age (and if they're not in style, well the Princess believes they will come round again :)). In the name of charity, Mette-Marit donated several of her pieces for auction over the weekend, including Prada dresses.

The festival is organised by Fretex, which works with the Norwegian Salvation Army. Below we see models taking to the runway.

Mette-Marit's outfit was something of a miss for the day. The dress is quite dowdy and doesn't showcase her great figure. The print combined with the style of the dress doesn't work well. However, Mette-Marit loves fashion and has fun with it whilst remaining conservative.

  1. being half norwegian i have a fondness for this down to earth royal family! How wonderful of her

Likee Mette-Marit a lot, she has done an amazing job but have to admit I wish she would have auctioned the dress she is wearing, it doesn't really become her. But a very good cause and some great looking clothes.
