Style File: Princess Mary in Floral Print Oscar de la Renta

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark presented an award for the Cancer Society to mark World Cancer Day in the Royal Playhouse. It is the second time Mary has been involved with the ceremony, and as always she arrived looking her usual stylish self.

Mary looked elegant in a floral-print dress by Oscar de la Renta for the event. As we get into the swing of spring we're seeing  florals in a multitude of ways, from an understated print scarf to a statement dress as the Crown Princess has done - it's a terrific look and incredibly seasonal.

The floral-print and cotton-blend dress is exclusively available at The Outnet for €977.77 (which officially puts it in the investment piece category). It comes in US sizes 0 - 12, although it is very quickly selling out with only a couple of sizes remaining at the moment.

The Crown Princess accessorised with a croc clutch, black pumps and a pair of pretty earrings by Marianne Dulong (with thanks to Style of Mary). We all wish the Crown Princess a belated Happy Brithday! She celebrated her 42nd on the 5th of February.

  1. Thank you for posting about my absolutely favorite royal. She looks classy as ever!!

  2. I agree. Princess Mary always looks classy, whether she's dressed in a gown and tiara or a pair of jeans. And no one recycles better than her. She's a pro! She will wear one familiar piece but really change up everything else about the overall look.

And I've mentioned this before, but I really wish that Kate would opt for a similar hairstyle. It's young, yet more mature and versatile.

Really like the dress. Is this the kind of dress people who don't like the idea of Kate looking more "royal" say will make her look like a grandma? If so, I really disagree.

    1. *I* wouldn't call this dress grandma-ish, but I do think that hiding the slightly padded shoulders (with long hair) would take away the subtle "edge" of the dress. Just my two cents.

Well, if this is matronly or grandma-like then I must already be a matron at the ripe age of 34. I like the dress, like the styling and agree with royalfan about the hair length.
