Charlotte Casiraghi Gucci Campaign + Monaco Circus Festival

Today's we're taking a look at all the latest news from Monaco beginning with a look at Charlotte Casiraghi's  third campaign for Gucci's Forever Now.

Gucci
The 26-year-old is pictured holding a foulard featuring the flora pattern which was created for her grandmother Grace Kelly in 1966. Gucci's flora pattern has enchanted women, royal or otherwise, ever since. This spring, the intricate pattern takes on new life in the latest "forever now" campaign. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott the evocative images demonstrate the beauty of a timeless icon.

Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini, who began reusing the heritage pattern in 2005 said:

"Today, Flora has become a symbol of the Gucci woman's effortless fusion of tradition and contemporary poise. The print holds special meaning to me. I first discovered the scarf when my mother and grandmother would wear theirs during my childhood in the seventies."

Ms Giannini and Charlotte Casiraghi have formed a strong bond in recent years over their love of horses. Charlotte said she "admires Frida's talents as a designer and she has really managed to reinvent the codes of Gucci by giving them a modern twist and a timeless elegance."

In Monaco the 37th International Circus Festival has been underway. The festival was created by Prince Rainier III and preserving the tradition is a passion of Princess Stephanie's who served on her first jury when she was just nine years old. Stephanie is president of the festival and oversees the entire operation from the selection of the acts to the costuming and music.

Following in her father's footsteps, Stephanie ensures each festival is the absolute best it can be.

Stephanie's daughter Pauline attends festival events with her mother and appears to share her mother's passion for the event. We rarely see Princesses Stephanie and Caroline these days and the festival is a rare occasion where we get to see most of the family relaxing.

Princess Charlene wore a black sequined jacket with a black dress for the evening gala. A very classy demure look. What do you all think of her shorter hair?

  1. Charlotte is stunningly beautiful, gorgeous, elegant. She was the one for prince William. They would be a bomb together. Two beautiful royals. Pity he never came across her way. I think they met once or twice at some event and didn't have chance to get to know each other. She is a diamond, and she would be a true people princess if she married prince William.

As the law stands at present that would not have been possible as she is a Catholic.
No one but the two people concerned can decide that a couple ought to have married --it is obvious that Prince William is entirely content with the choice he made.

    2. I don't think the same,Charlotte hates rules and duties.

    3. Do you truly believe there is a law in now days that could stop two loving people from marrying each other? Religion is an obstacle? There are endless cases when woman have accepted religion of her future husband in order to be able to marry him.
Yes you are right in your second part. However it does not stop us from discussion what would have been if a different choice was made.

    4. I couldn't imagine William and Charlotte as a match. She is stunning and she may be a lovely young lady, but there's an aloofness about her that doesn't seem to go with what William needs in a partner. Ditto for qualifying as a "people's Princess". William and Kate are a perfect match - a sentiment echoed by one of Princess Diana's closest friends.

  2. Charlotte is not a royal, and despite her clear beauty, i think she is too much Diva. She may be a great girl, but i reaaly don´t care to much about Monaco Royal Family. Stephanie´s daughters for another hand seem to me more down to earth, but even Pauline posed for some photoshoot a few days ago, so there is to much pictures without real work for this girls. But i don´t really know them, so my words are just an opinion based in paper magazines. :)

    1. Could you please explain "she is not royal". Technically Zara Phillips is not a princess, but we still consider her royal.

  3. Emily: So you are obviously stating that you do not accept that William chose Kate. I think Kate is a great match for William and he chose very well. I think Charlotte is pretty, but she comes across as very "I'm all that" kind of person. I don't see true beauty in that kind of personality.

    1. The answer is: yes, I don't accept (not that it matters much).

Talking of Charlotte, she gives an impression of being a centre of universe, but we can only judge on pictures. Watching her interview I think she is a sweet, intelligent girl.
Anyway every woman has a right to be a "diva" when she wants to. If she looks like "all that" on pictures it is the merit of a photographer and a model who was asked to perform. In my opinion she is a beauty inside and out. She has to work on her posture though.

  5. How do you know that Charlotte is "I'm all that kind of person? Do you know her personally? I find her exceptionally beautiful, but I agree that Kate is a great match for William. Charlotte is too sexy, vigorous and independent to be the wife of the future King.Kate is the best choice-pretty, glamorous and dignified.

  8. Hi Charlotte,
In my opinion, Charlotte is the most beautiful european royal, she's so exotic and sexy. But Pauline is becoming very elegant and very pretty too.
Although I'm not a huge fan of the Royal Family of Monaco, I always think that princess Charlene has a very classy style (but I don't like her short hair, it doesn't seem very feminine to me.)
    Big hug
    Z.
